What does Brivtex do?

Paste a YouTube video or podcast episode link and Brivtex writes a short summary, key points, and detailed notes from it. Everything you create stays in a private library you can organize into baskets and come back to later.

Is Brivtex free?

Yes, the free plan gives you 3 summaries every month. Basic is $5 a month for 100 summaries, and Premium is $18 a month for 1,000 summaries plus podcast and on-screen text support.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. The free plan needs only an email address or a Google sign-in. You are never asked for card details until you choose to upgrade.

Does it work with podcasts as well as video?

Yes. Apple Podcasts and Spotify episode links both work, alongside YouTube. Podcast summaries are part of the Premium plan.

What does Catch-up show?

Catch-up looks across completed summaries in a basket and surfaces what changed, what stayed consistent, what is new, tensions between sources, connections to your notes, and suggested follow-ups. Refresh it whenever the basket changes.

Can it handle long videos?

Videos that already have captions have no fixed length limit, so multi-hour lectures and conference talks are fine. When a video has no captions and Brivtex has to transcribe the audio itself, the limit is around two hours.

What if the video has no captions or shows text on screen?

Brivtex transcribes the audio when captions are missing. On the Premium plan it can also read text shown on screen — slides, charts, and code — so demos and presentations are not reduced to just what was said aloud.

Which languages are supported?

Brivtex uses the English transcript when one exists and falls back to whatever language the video provides. Notes are written in English.

Can I use Brivtex for market or industry research?

Yes — grouping earnings calls, analyst interviews, or conference talks into a basket and keeping your own notes beside them is a common way people use it. Brivtex organizes research you are already doing. It does not give financial, investment, or professional advice, and its notes should not be treated as any.

Who can see my summaries?

Only you. Summaries are private to your account, Brivtex uses no tracking or advertising cookies, and you can ask for your account and all its data to be deleted at any time — deletion requests are actioned within 30 days.
